Calma Villa

Villa Calma showcases a bold architectural silhouette amidst the lush hills of Bandung. This two-story structure is dominated by expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows, creating a sense of transparency and weightlessness. The upper floor appears to "float" (cantilever) over the entrance area, providing shade below while making a striking visual statement. The outdoor area features an infinity pool and a spacious wooden deck, offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding nature.

⦁ Modern Tropical Floating Box: The primary concept is the "floating box." The use of a cantilever on the second floor is not only aesthetic but also maximizes the efficiency of the sloped terrain.
⦁ Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living: The design aims to blur the boundaries between the interior and exterior. Transparent glass allows residents to enjoy Bandung's cool air and greenery from the comfort of their rooms.
⦁ Natural & Industrial Materiality: The combination of raw concrete, warm timber, and black metal frames creates a balance between a modern industrial feel and the warmth of a tropical home.
⦁ Topographic Adaptation: The building is designed to follow the slope of the land, with service areas and parking situated at the lower level, while private areas and the pool are placed on the higher levels for maximum privacy and the best vantage points.
