Deskripsi Proyek

The building's facade is a bold fusion of Modern Industrial architecture and Tropical Craftsmanship. The most iconic element is the repetitive use of woven rattan panels arranged in a 3D pyramid geometric pattern. This rattan serves as a functional secondary skin enveloping the primary structure. This organic material stands in stark contrast to the cool exposed concrete (cement wash), sharp black metal framing, and warm wooden soffits. At night, linear LED lighting accentuates the weave's texture, creating dramatic shadows and a facade that appears to breathe.

Konsep Desain

This concept focuses on elevating traditional local materials within a contemporary urban architectural context.

• Elevating Local Heritage: Taking the craft of rattan weaving—typically found in small-scale furniture—and transforming it into an architectural scale. This provides a unique identity that sets the building apart from generic modern structures.

• Climate-Responsive Facade: As a secondary skin, the rattan panels act as an effective sun shader while still allowing natural air circulation to permeate the building, making it ideal for tropical climates.

• Textural Balance: The design pits the complex, organic texture of the rattan against the smooth, monolithic surfaces of concrete and glass. This creates a visual harmony between human-centric craftsmanship and industrial precision.

• Light and Shadow Play: The 3D texture of the weave is engineered to capture sunlight during the day and artificial light at night, providing a dynamic facade appearance that shifts depending on the angle of light.
